SF9 started teasing ‘Knights of the Sun’ and the title track ‘O Sole Mio’ as soon as they left Australia after conquering KCON 2017 Australia.
They’ve been merciless to us with the number and variety of teasers that have been released, and now finally, SF9 have finally dropped their new mini-album ‘Knights of the Sun’ and the title track ‘O Sole Mio’, all timed to coincide with their debut anniversary.
The title track ‘O Sole Mio’ which translates to ‘My Sunshine’ is different to anything we’ve heard from the group before.
We knew from the teasers that the song had a distinct Latin feel to it and a beautiful acoustic guitar throughout. But the track delivers so much more! The vocals are emotional yet strong, they feel heart wrenching in a way. The rap line melts perfectly into the overall feel of the track and delivers the solid base that the track has been built on.
The MV is as blistering as the desert in which it was filmed! We’re taken from the desert, to the airplane graveyard, to a stunning yet dark cathedral and an oasis in the desert – the scenery is perfectly suited to the mood and style of the track. The choreography mashes a number of styles including hip hop and flamenco. Yes, I said flamenco – watch those shirts become capes and you’ll get it!

I knew from the moment that I heard the first teaser that we were going to be in for something special with this track – and I’m happy to say that it has lived up to expectations.
