Many fans know that Super Junior members are avid radio DJs, and Shindong is not excluded!
‘ShimShimTaPa‘ presented to Shindong the ‘Half Bronze Mouth’ as he celebrated his 5th year on the MBC radio show as a DJ. He began in April 2008, and although he has switched many partners, has kept going on the radio show. The ‘Bronze Mouth’ is awarded for MBC DJs that have been with a radio program for 10 years. Because Shindong was only there for 5 years, he was gifted a ‘Half Bronze Mouth’ for his fifth anniversary.
The CP of the show stated, “We hope that this will be an incentive for you to fill the next 5 years here. You should be awarded the full ‘Bronze Mouth’ and not just the half so we can hang you next to Choi Yang Rak sunbae,” encouraging the Super Junior members.
One of his previous partners, Gyuri, dropped by from her drama set to congratulate Shindong. She jokingly said, “Did you give him the ‘Half Bronze Mouth’ so you can make a slave contract with him?“.
Shindong strongly said, “The day before I enlist, I’ll shave my head on ‘ShimShimTaPa’. When I’m discharged, I won’t go home. I’ll come straight back to ‘ShimShimTaPa’. I’ll be here for 15 more years so I can receive the ‘Golden Mouth’ award like Bae Chul Soo sunbaenim.”
