Idol groups SHINee and KARA have obtained gold title in Japan with their latest albums.
As stated by Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) November 12th,
“SHINee’s ‘Dazzling GIrl’ achieved the Gold Certification for shipping out over 100,000 albums, reaching up to second place on the Oricon Weekly Chart.
KARA’s “Electric Boy” received the same status for selling over 100,000 albums. In fact, “Electric Boy” sold 57,942 albums in the first week of sales alone, which was enough to clinch second place on the Oricon Weekly Chart.”
They have proved that not only can one be famous in one country with one language, but many.
