There’s nothing quite like the feeling of your Twitter notification going off on your phone, only to discover that your ultimate bias has tweeted. That’s what happened to me not long ago, and I went to Onew’s page, filled with glee and anticipation to see what he had to say. I saw a picture posted, and a figure wearing sunglasses standing next to SHINee members Onew, Jongyhun, and Minho. I found myself asking a very important question aloud: “Wait, is that Jack Black?!?”
Sure enough, it most definitely is! As you can see in Onew’s tweet below, it appears our boys ran into the superstar of Kung Fu Panda fame while they were arriving at Gimpo Airport, coming back from Japan. And, as is not surprising, Onew blessed us with one of his famous puns, as the caption of his Tweet says “21………..!!!!!!!!!!!!” Think about that for a second: 21 equals 2ne1, whose fans are called what? Blackjacks. And they’re with Jack Black. Good one, Onew.

Member Jonghyun gave us a bit more details in his Tweet, stating that “He asked me if I am a rock star, so we had a little talk together and he said he is a rock star too….. Jack he said…. ARE YOU JACK?!? oOo?!?!?!?!? JACK BLACK!?! School of Rock?!?!?!? Never expected….. He has a concert in Korea!!” Check out Jonghyun’s tweet and picture below:

I’d be willing to bet he’s about the last person our SHINee boys thought they’d run into, and Jack Black himself was probably initially wondering who on earth they were. Who knows, maybe he’ll become a new Shawol! We can only hope. Don’t get too excited though, I don’t think there will be any SHINee/Tenacious D collaborations in this lifetime. But a fangirl can dream.
