SHINee fans around the world have been collectively holding their breath since June 10th, when it was announced that leader Onew was recovering from vocal surgery. There was a lot of speculation surrounding the announcement as to the severity of the injury, and in the long months to follow, it only got worse. Why was it taking so long? When will he be back? Is he resting well? These are questions that plagued every Shawol’s mind. Well, we now have our answer. SHINee performed at the Tokyo Girl’s Collection fashion show on September 6th, and our precious leader was with them, singing and speaking publicly again for the first time since the procedure.
The boys performed a few of their hits in front of a large crowd at the Samitama Super Arena in Tokyo, and we can only imagine the fans’ reactions when they saw the full group finally reunited. According to some fan reports that are spreading across the internet like wildfire, the sound was deafening any time Onew started singing or speaking to the audience. I have seen a few of the fancams myself, and I have to admit, I screamed. And cried. And it took about 15 minutes for me to stop shaking. One thing’s for certain, anyone who is Onew-biased right now is likely either in tears, or trying to stop their hearts from beating right out of their chests.
We look forward to the official reports on the show as well as more videos and photos, and we will be sure to pass all the latest updates off to you, our dear readers! Join us in congratulating Onew on a triumphant return to the stage, as well as the rest of the group for putting on a great show as always.
