Mnet’s hip hop survival program, ‘Show Me The Money’ is returning for it’s fifth season! The crew confirmed the production of the show and a casting call is expected to be held as early as next month. The show’s producers are not yet confirmed, but the network is aiming for a first broadcast in May.
In the past seasons of ‘Show Me The Money’ or just ‘SMTM’, the aim was to show the skills and to show the talent of underground or unknown rappers. Idol rappers have taken the plunge to get their name out there on past seasons, including the likes of Seventeen’s Vernon, VIXX’s Ravi, iKon’s BI and Bobby, the latter being the winner of season three. Those who are not idols are trying to become more well known, for example, IRON was a contestant on season three. As well as the winner of last season Basick was an underground rapper before joining the show.
‘Show Me The Money’ is known to groom rappers and performers, so let’s see what season five brings us! Are you excited? Let us know!
