Singaporean B.A.P fans donated and helped distributed 1 ton (2200 lbs) of rice.
On January 19th, Protect B.A.P Singapore, a fanclub established in Singapore for BABYs, donated 1 ton of rice to the Red Cross under their idol group B.A.P’s name, to celebrate their 1 year anniversary.
Red Cross announced, “In Korea, it is normal for fanclubs to donate rice and other necessities under the name of their artists’ names. However, we believe this is the first time it happened in Singapore. They not only donated, but also helped deliver the rice to the people who needed it.”
The fans who donated expressed, “We were inspired by B.A.P’s leader Bang Yong Guk, who actually performed humanitarian acts for the elderly and those in need. We thought it would be meaningful to give them a gratitude letter from the Red Cross for their 1 year anniversary since debut. If you pronounce B.A.P in Korean, it’s ‘bap’, or rice, so it’s more meaningful.”
Members Himchan and Daehyun showed appreciation and pride upon hearing the news and tweeted, “We heard about the Singapore BABYs! We are so proud of you and we love you!“, and “Our kind-hearted BABYs!!!“, respectively.
