SM Entertainment is currently in the process of suing Indian film ‘KANNAYA‘ for plagiarizing EXO songs. EXO fans noticed that tracks from the movie are exactly similar to EXO songs. It is very noticeable that ‘Dhamki Marr’ and ‘Baby Kanipinchav’ which are the main tracks of the film, are similar to South Korean idol group’s hit songs ‘Growl’ and ‘Baby Don’t Cry’. EXO fans all over the world started to call SM Entertainment to take an legal action immediately. In response, representative from the agency states:
“The controversial songs by the Indian artist are clearly plagiarized. We’re planning to take action after discussion with the composer and the publisher.”
If you haven’t notice it yet, listen here and decide yourself it has plagiarized or not. ‘Dhamkimar’ which sounds like EXO’s ‘Growl’ starts at 4:24. Baby Kanipinchav’, which sounds like EXO’s ‘Baby Don’t Cry’ starts playing at 14:33. While it is blatantly obvious songs were in fact plagiarized, producers of the film still have not addressed the incident.
