SM Entertainment and Universal Studios Japan have gotten together to create a new way for fans to be able to interact with their favorite SM artists by opening a hologram-specialized space. “SM Town Hologram V-Theater with Universal Studios Japan” opened at Universal Studios Japan in Osaka on Friday and will be open until February 16 next year.
100 specially picked fans, the press and special members of the industry attended the opening ceremony of the hologram theater on Thursday to celebrated the birth of the new cultural space. To the delight of those present TVXQ made a surprise appearance to join the celebration. “This will be the new chance to meet your favorite artists. I hope as many as people would come and experience it together.” the TVXQ members were quoted as saying after watching the hologram show which includes life-sized figures of the duo.
The hologram show will have some of the most loved performances from the artists of SM, such as TVXQ’s “Keep Your Head Down”, Super Junior’s “Sorry Sorry”, Girl’s Generation’s “I Got A Boy”, SHINee’s “Lucifer” and EXO’s “Wolf”. The show wouldn’t be complete at Universal Studios’ without popular characters Elmo and Cookie Monster.
Girls Generation also made a visit to the show this past Sunday to check out the new theater for themselves.
