CJ Entertainment has released some exciting news, the Entertainment company has revealed that HWANG Dong-hyuk‘s most recent film, “Miss Granny“, will be hitting theater’s in the United States. It will officially hit theater’s starting on the west coast on January 24th at Los Angele’s CGV Cinemas. It will then makes its way to the west coast on January 31st at New York’s Bay Terrace theaters and New Jersey’s Edgewater Multiplex.
“Miss Granny” tells the story of a the 74 year old -widow, Oh Mal-Soon (Na Moon-Hee), who has lived her life but with her old age feels like a burden to her family. She soon sets out roaming the streets leaving her lovely family behind and comes across a rinky-dink photo studio. She decides to dress up and take a self portrait. What happens next is quite the shocker! She soon realizes that maybe it was not just an ordinary portrait after she finds herself mysteriously transformed back to her 20 year old self. She takes advantage of this mysterious once in a lifetime opportunity and sets out to reach her life long dream of singing and finding love. Embracing her redo in life, she undergoes a complete change, from her wardrobe to her name, Oh Doo-Ri (Shim Eun-Kyung). Oh Doo-Ri’s youth comes with a price as she goes through a series of comical adventures and endures a real culture shock while getting used to the modern age, especially when she came across some revealing lingerie. The cast includes SHIM Eun-Kyung (as OH Doo-Ri), NA Moon-Hee (as OH Mal-Soon), PARK In-Hwan (as Mr. Park), SUNG Dong-Il (as BAN Hyun-Chul), and LEE Jin-Wook (as HAN Seung-Woo).
