News came out recently that an artist under Starship Entertainment has enlisted into the military. What we were really surprised to find out that it was none other than soloist and songwriter, JooYoung.
JooYoung has been gone since late November, but the agency finally announced that he had left to serve his mandatory service. “Jooyoung enlisted on November 26th. He plans on serving as a public service worker for two year after completing his four week training.” a rep from Starship said in an interview. This came as a shock since Starship has released two songs with JooYoung involved in it. First was the Starship Planet’s Christmas song, ‘Softly’ and most recently he had released a collaboration track ‘Love Line’ with HyoLyn of Sistar and Bumkey with Brand New Music.
They continued with, “[He] finished recording before enlisting. Although there is regret since he couldn’t see the response to his new song, he enlisted bravely promising to return soon. He will continue making music after his enlistment.”
If you haven’t heard the newest two songs, you can check them down below as you wait for his return!
I know I was surprised to find out that JooYoung had enlisted in secret, but I will wait for his return and look forward to more great music. How are you feeling about the news? Let us know!
