On June 29th, SUNMI dropped the music video to her latest single, ‘Heart Burn’. This comes off the simultaneously released single album of the same name. Marking her first official comeback since 2021’s ‘You Can’t Sit With Us’, the songstress has returned in 10 months with a breezy track.
The gentle instrumental fits a chill summer vibe. Coupled with the singer’s instantly recognisable vocal tone, and you get a song you can put on and forget about, sinking into the song’s relaxing beat.
The accompanying music video follows the singer immortal as she lives through different times periods throughout history. From 1856 Texas through to 1969 Tokyo, she experiences many relationships as the guys die, leaving her behind. We see her in modern day with hanged photographs of the deceased lovers. The ending shows the singer kneeling in a graveyard on a pristine summer’s day, holding an urn.
