A while back, SM Entertainment revealed Super Junior member Sungmin’s plans to join the entertainment department in the police force. However, his plans have changed to better cater to the group’s preparations. Sungmin now plans to put enlistment on hold to focus on Super Junior’s comeback, despite his successful passing of the first few rounds and receiving notice that he is fit to serve in the military in February.
SM Entertainment released an official statement regarding the surprise decision, saying, “Sungmin has not applied for the Seoul Police Department for this current recruitment round. This year, Super Junior is set to record their new album as well as participate in a musical and Sungmin wants to focus on these schedules.”
Besides his musical, as well as the upcoming promotional period for Super Junior’s 2014 release, Sungmin still has his own schedule to oblige by.
