On September 25th, SuperM released the MV for their title track, ‘One (Monster & Infinity)’. The song comes off their 1st full album, ‘Super One’. Check out the MV down below!
SUPERM ‘ONE (MONSTER & INFINITY)’ MV:
In the predominantly English lyrics, they express the strong will to overcome any hardship and difficulties facing without fears, aiming to reach higher. Its instrumental a mash of different genres mostly including Pop, EDM and Trap. Due to its wide variety, the vocals and raps are all completely different. With low and hard rhythmic raps, comes resonant vocals and exceptional high notes to lift the track to new heights particularly in the final refrain. Hence the song delivers a bold impression upon its first listen and doesn’t let go.
Viewing the MV, it matches the high energy of the track with many vivid sets, CG effects, colours and quick panning camera angles. The outfits are equally contrasting each over the top with its quirks; they include a set of beige bedazzled captain inspired outfit, a black and green street style suit look, and finally a bunch of mismatched colourful outfits that show the diversity of the members’ styles and add even more pop to the MV’s visual. Finally, the choreography the group dance to with these looks is conspicuous and intense, bringing out the group’s charismatic performing abilities.
‘Super One’ contains a lengthy 15 tracks which also includes the group’s previous singles ‘100’ and ‘Tiger Inside’ which were released in August and earlier in September this year. It features a variety of genres including Hip Hop, R&B and Dance. Like the title track, the album features songs sung in both English and Korean. Along with the album, the group has also collaborated with entertainment company Marvel to produce merchandise; shirts, hats and tote bags.
