On October 15th, 2nd generation veteran girl group T-ARA released the MV to their long-awaited new title track, ‘TIKI TAKA’. This comes off their two-tracked 2nd single album, ‘Re: T-ara’. The comeback was well worth the 4-year hiatus, with their last release being 2017’s mini album, ‘What’s My Name?’ featuring the lead single of the same name. This became the final release for the group with all four remaining members deciding not renew their contracts with their longtime agency, MBK Entertainment.
Following a bitter dispute of the company applying and attempting to take the trademark rights to the group’s name, the courts ruled in favour of the members and denied the trademark. Between 2017-2020, the ladies took time for themselves and work on their solo singing and acting careers. In October 2020, the members made a surprise reunion performance of their mega-hits ‘Roly Poly and ‘Sexy Love’. With 2021 rolling around, they made confirmations making comeback preparations. Releasing under Dingo Music, the quartet are officially back on their feet to reclaim their once queen status in the industry.

T-ARA ‘TIKI TAKA’ MV:
‘TIKI TAKA’ discusses the back and forth hardships of love. Featuring a beat drop of a chorus, the bass is booming to retain the song’s strong characteristics. This extends to the vocals; gliding yet sultry vocal tones by the matured members adds a classiness to the track. The elegance reflects in the music video. Here we see the ladies enjoy glasses of wine in revealing and shining dresses. Asserting their dominance, the song abruptly ends with them sitting around bar stools, intensely staring into the camera.
