This is the year of “RINGA LINGA!”
We know Taeyang’s current single and videos display his awesome dancing skills and musical ability. So, its no surprise that he is receiving calls from record companies in the States. Now, fans are wondering if he will be BIGBANG’s “branch” to the U.S. music market.
It was confirmed on the 21st of November that Taeyang is definitely considering debuting in the States. His comeback single ‘RINGA LINGA’ has a strong hip-hop rhythm which is highly favored in the current U.S. music scene. The song accomplishes what many artist cannot do and that is to combine R&B rhythm with dancing skills.
Taeyang’s dance performance video has over 10 million views and the numbers continue to grow. The dance performance video contains a handful of America’s top dancers. BIGBANG’s leader and producer G-DRAGON co-wrote and composed the song. Taeyang is definitely sending up smoke signals to the music world.

It is certain that Taeyang will put his group and fans before any deal and regardless of all the hype he is 100% dedicated to being a member of BIGBANG. In a recent interview he revealed, “If BIGBANG were a big tree, then I would be a branch.” This shows the loyalty he has for his group. For now, Taeyang’s American debut will just have to wait.
Taeyang is expected to make an appearance and participate in the 2013 Mnet Asia Music Awards in Hong Kong on Nov 22. He has an upcoming solo concert in San Francisco on November 26th. He is performing with BIGBANG in Japan on a Dome Tour until January 13th, 2014. His album release is in March, along with BIGBANG’s album release.
