BIGBANG’s Taeyang has returned once again returned as a solo artist with his second full-length album “Rise” and has been topping the music charts not only in Korea but also in Japan.
The album ranked first on Japan’s largest music website, recochoku, and second on Japan’s iTunes pop album chart. This achievement is even more significant as it is a Korean version of the album that was released in Japan on June 18th, not the Japanese one.
The Japanese version of “Rise” is scheduled for August 13th, and will include two “Complete Best,” such as all of his previous albums did. Some songs on the album will be released in Japanese as well.
Taeyang’s second full-length album is doing extremely well in his home country as well. He has been keeping his no.1 place on music charts for over two weeks now! “Eyes, Nose, Lips,” has been on the top of the music charts of Mnet, Genie, Soribada, Monkey 3, Bugs, Olleh Music, and Daum Music.
The singer has also managed to achieve something no Korean male singer has ever done – his album took the 112th place on Billboard 200 music chart.
