Girls’ Generation may have won the ‘Best Female Group‘ award this year at the MAMAs, but their leader Taeyeon took home her own award for ‘Best Female Artist‘ as she went solo for the first time this past fall.
The first performance of the night was Taeyeon’s ‘I‘ and she kicked off the show with a huge bang! She certainly made her entrance, coming down from a beautifully decorated lift dressed in a sparkly white dress that made her look like a doll.
Halfway through the song while Taeyeon is being lowered all the way down to the stage, a violin starts playing, adding a classical sound to an already gorgeously composed song.
When the camera pans back to Taeyeon, we can now see a whole orchestra and choir to the left and right of her, definitely adding a stronger emphasis on this song.
All she would’ve needed was for fake snow to fall around her and it would’ve made the perfect winter stage!
Check out the performance video below and take a look for yourself.
