Teen Top blasts back in to the spotlight with their latest release “Missing” and look to take the charts by storm with their mature sound.
It has felt like over their last few releases that the boys have been maturing, something that is controversial to some but is quite welcome for many fans.
Teen Top has had the bad timing, recently, to release their videos at what seems the exact same time as some of the older, more experienced and widely popular groups. This release, thankfully, is out on its own, so hopefully this will get the group the recognition, both internationally and domestically, that they deserve.
The song pulls off what is often impossible: it has a strong retro feel and yet still sounds both current and exactly like Teen Top. Their ability to make that happen shows that they have been around as long as they have because they are incredibly talented and not just, as I have heard several times, because they are good-looking.
Their dancing is spot on, as it pretty much always is. I am hoping that they’ll give us a dance rehearsal or dance only version soon. The story in the video is quite good as well, which really says something since stories in videos aren’t always my favorite. I won’t spoil it for you though, you’ve got to watch it to find out what happens!
What did you think? I have been looking forward to this release since the first teaser came out and I am so happy that it didn’t disappoint! I was not a Teen Top fan going in to this video, I’ve liked a song or two here and there but I didn’t seek out their work, but that’s going to change!
What was your favorite part? Do you like the sound of the song? I am hoping that this type of song is what we will be hearing from from more artists this season, there have already been a few releases that were along these lines musically, so here’s to hoping this is a new trend! Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
