On September 16th, THE BOYZ revealed the highlight medley for their upcoming 5th mini album, ‘Chase’. The next day on the 17th, they released the MV teaser for its title track, ‘The Stealer’. Check out both teasers down below!
THE BOYZ ‘CHASE’ ALBUM HIGHLIGHT MEDLEY:
Upon listening to the highlight medley, the new mini album will have a mixture of genres within. There are trap elements, heavy beat drops and various vocal timbres reflecting a more mature sound for the group. In addition to those, there are pop-ier hits that display the boy group’s fresh appeal. One thing to note is the album includes credits from member Sunwoo who is credited for lyric writing in the title track ‘The Stealer’, ‘Make or Break’ and ‘Checkmate’.
‘THE STEALER’ MV TEASER:
Moving onto the MV teaser, it begins with a deep red room with neon strip lights, creating an alluring atmosphere, closed behind a metal mesh gate. We hear a classic piano being played in the background along with the sound of an ambulance. Once the gates open, all the members get into position before we’re subjected to the various teasers of the sets within the full MV. These include a gunshot perspective aiming at a heart, a green laser filled room and red curtains which open to white stage lights. The teaser ends back in the red room with all the members dressed in a mixture of red, black with latex motifs performing one part of the choreography which leads to the chorus drop.
‘Chase’ will contain a total of five tracks including the previously released Road to Kingdom single, ‘Checkmate’. This will be the first comeback for the 11-member group since their appearance and win on that Mnet idol group survival show. Besides these teasers, they have already released concept photos showing their sexier charms and the track list for this album. The group will also be holding an online concert, ‘THE BOYZ Online Concert [RE:AL]’ on September 19th before their return.
THE BOYZ‘s 5th mini album, ‘Chase’, will be released on September 21st, 6PM KST!
