One of SM Entertainment’s new projects for 2016 is S.M Digital Music Channel called STATION. It was first introduced at the New Culture Technology press conference in January with the description that for 52 weeks, they would drop a new digital single with collaborations of artist, producers, and composers in and out of the SM label.
For the first digital was ‘Rain’ by Taeyeon. The point of the Station project is that each song will be strictly for the project and you will be able to access it like a music channel. ‘Rain’ had music teasers and image teasers of Taeyeon to get everyone excited and it went on to sweep eight music charts, with no promotions to follow the release.
Now SM has dropped their newest teaser for the next Station single. With just smooth R&B vocals to be heard and lyrics on a music stand, it has been revealed that ‘Tell Me (What Is Love)’ will be the added to the channel on February 19. Known for being a song by EXO’s D.O, he is joined by the creator of the song Yoo YoungJin.
Originally a solo piece for D.O during concerts, you can find the song on ‘Exology Chapter 1: The Lost Planet’ concert album. Now the track is getting its time to shine while showcasing both artists’ wonderful talents.
YoungJin has been a singer-songwriter and producer under SM since 1993 with three albums of his own along with a resume of his work for other SM artists longer than one could imagine. He is the mastermind behind such hit songs as Shinhwa’s ‘해결사 (The Solver)’, Super Junior’s ‘Sorry, Sorry’, SHINee’s ‘Ring Ding Dong’, SNSD’s ‘I Got A Boy’, and EXO’s ‘Mama’ among so many others.
I look forward to see what kind of new breathe YoungJin and D.O will bring to this amazing song, along with all the teasers to follow. I know EXO-Ls everywhere are so excited for this track to get a spot of its own. What do you think about the new teaser? Let us know!
