Megan Bowen AKA ChoNunMiGookSaram gave us a cute little surprise today as she invited idol group Topp Dogg into the studio and had them play a game. What was the game you ask? They had to try to pronounce western names correctly. Getting the idea from a Buzzfeed video of Westerners pronouncing Korean names. While they all did pretty well, it’s still pretty adorable to watch them try.
Now I have been a fan for a year or so but for those who don’t know of her, Megan Bowen is an American YouTuber based in South Korea, originally working as a grade school teacher, she has now branched out as her own business women. Making videos that range from Vlogs about her daily life and experiences of Korea to Reaction videos, Makeup and Fashion tutorials and the odd parody or two.
The boys were soon split up into 5 teams of two. Them being; Xero and Hansol, Jenissi and B-Joo, Nakta and Hojoon , P-Goon and Sangdo and finally A-Tom and Yano. She had them pronounce the names, Patricia, Elizabeth, Cynthia, Cheryl, Jacqueline, Juanita, Brianna, Rhonda, Jeanette, Raquel, Heidi, and Yvette. A few of them got them correct, right off the bat. The others… not so much. Jenissi kept messing B-Joo up with the J names saying that they sometimes have an “H” sound. The whole video was cute and funny.
In the end the scores were:
Hansol-Xero – 12
Atom – Yano – 13
P.Goon- Sangdo – 12
Jenissi – B-Joo – 9
HoJoon – Nakta – 11
They tried their best and that’s all that matters! Take a look at the video down below and let us know what you think. What was your favorite part?
