If you happen to be a Shawol, you more than likely already know that updates on Jonghyun’s solo debut have been hitting us right and left this past week. We’ve had the teaser video for his single, “Crazy (Guilty Pleasure),” that had fans in pandemonium, some stunning teaser images, and most recently, a pre-release track that he played for us on MBC’s “Blue Night,” called “Deja-Boo.” It appears, however, that Jonghyun isn’t quite out of surprises just yet, as the tracklist for his debut album, “Base,” has just been revealed as well.
As shown below, it looks like the album will consist of 7 tracks, and indicates a possible extra one, shown below with the question marks beside it. The bonus track, “It’s Late (Beautiful Tonight),” was a song he composed for Blue Night, the radio show he DJs. The song gained a lot of popularity among fans, and we’re ecstatic to see it make an appearance on the album.
The other tracks include the aforementioned “Deja-Boo,” which features Zion.T, the title track, “Crazy (Guilty Pleasure),” which features Iron, “Hallelujah,” which is partially written by Wheesung, “Love Belt,” which features Younha, “NEON,” and “MONO-Drama.” The album will release on January 12th, and Jonghyun’s debut stage will take place on the 9th.
Are you ready for this solo debut? Take a good look at the tracklist, and you’ll notice something awesome. The lyrics of every song are written by Jonghyun himself. Not to mention, quite a few were also composed by him as well. It’s clear that SM Entertainment is acknowledging all of the skills of this remarkably talented individual, which is a joy to witness.
Stay tuned for more updates on Jonghyun’s debut, as well as news on all your other favorite Korean idols!
