TVXQ (DBSK) members “U-Know” Yunho and Max Changmin celebrate 4000 days since their debut in 2003. As we all know, the group debuted as five member boy group, but three members, Yoochun, Jaejoong and Junsu sued SM in 2009, resulting in their separation from the two remaining members. These three went on to form another group, JYJ.
Since then, Changmin and Yunho have met with great success as a duo, and they recently held a press conference before their special live tour, called “TVXQ! Special Live Tour- T1STORY,“ on December 7th.
This concert is the duo’s first concert in Seoul, Korea in the last two years. The tickets, 24 000 of them, sold out the moment they went on sale.
When they were asked to say something about their anniversary, Changmin joked a bit: “Personally, I stayed like a leech beside Yunho hyung, and we came this far.” Yunho responded: “We tried really hard to go beyond our limit and I think the fans appreciated this, making use of Changmin’s strength both of us worked really hard to display more of our hidden sides, we always managed to surpass our limitation and present what we worked hard on the stage.”
He was happy to have a concert in his homeland:“It is so much more exciting because it has been two years. We prepared a lot for this concert and because of that we feel more attached to it. We will sing the songs that were never sung live and some of the songs that are well known but we were not able to perfom them until now. We will honor all the fans and remember good old days through these songs!”
During his solo stage on concert, Changmin took off his shirt and in regards to this he said: “I had to stop drinking for two month to be able to remove my top. There was a trainer in charge of my training and he did not allow me to drink soup, eat chilli noodles or kimchi, I really worked hard for it.”
At the end the leader said: “It is not an easy task to break our own record, even the tough ones. If we wish to be active for a long time TVXQ records must be broken by TVXQ ourselves. Even after all this time we wish that TVXQ’s name will last. In the end, we want to become a group that will provide people warmth just from the name itself.”
The members will continue the tour in Taiwan on December 13th.
We congratulate the boys this special day, and wish that we can see them on stage at least this frequently or more so in the future!
