It has been quite a time to be a Cassie, ladies and gentlemen.
TVXQ’s Changmin and Yunho know their time is short, as they’ll both be enlisting in the military very soon. So it seems, they want to make sure we have plenty to remember them by while they’re serving their country. First Yunho gave us a new drama, “I Order You,” which has been meeting with great success. Changmin’s drama, “The Scholar Who Walks the Night,” has also been doing well thus far. Yunho gave us his first ever solo album release in Japan, “U Know Y,” and if all that weren’t enough, the boys are now dropping a brand new album, “Rise As God,” on July 20th, the day before Yunho is scheduled to enlist.
Talk about going out with a bang!
“Rise As God” is a full length album to boot, with ten total tracks, including solos from each of them. Yunho’s solo is called “Champagne,” which he first performed at the final leg of their “T1Story” Tour in Seoul. Changmin’s solo, “Rise as One,” appears to be brand-spanking new, and I for one am anxious to hear it.
One July 17th, the first of several teasers to come was dropped, the special album teaser. We see clips of each of the solo MVs, starting with Changmin’s. It appears to have a futuristic concept of some kind, which is nothing new for TVXQ. Changmin is trapped in some form of structure, shown awakening. The second half of the 42 second clip is all Yunho, pimp cane and all, showing off his dance moves in a very club-like atmosphere. It’s explosive!
Check it out:
There’s more to come soon, with Changmin’s and Yunho’s MV’s dropping on the 18th and 19th respectively, and the full album drop on the 20th.
Are you excited to see these Gods in action one last time before they have to enlist? I certainly am. Stay tuned for more updates!
