TVXQ, one half of former SM group DBSK, has reportedly made over 1 billion yen from Japanese DVD sales for 2012.
“ORICON BiZ online” reported the third quarter results for the Japanese music market and the report revealed that TVXQ has indeed earned over 1 billion yen from their Japanese DVD sales alone.
TVXQ’s released the DVD for their “TVXQ LIVE TOUR 2012-TONE” back in July and it contained footage of all 11 of their Japanese concerts held around Japan. The DVD ranked #1 on the Oricon Daily Charts and the Weekly DVD Charts proving TVXQ’s dominance.
According to “ORICON BiZ online” reports, TVXQ’s total media sales have increased by 11% as compared to last year. Their video media sales (DVDs and Blue Ray) have increase by an incredible 36.2%.
TVXQ is one of the most successful and popular idol groups in the history of the kpop industry, and their Japanese DVD sales for 2012 proves it. There are many idol groups who don’t make that much from ALL of their promotions. TVXQ truly are the stars of Asia. Congratulations to TVXQ!
