TVXQ, also known as DBSK, will be bringing summer a few notches down by tying its new Japanese single to a horror film.
On July 4, Sankei Sports reported that “Scream, the upcoming single by the popular Korean unit TVXQ, has been chosen as the theme song for the film Sadako 3D 2.”
Sadako 3D 2 is the sequel to Sadako 3D, which premiered in May 2012 and earned over 1.3 billion yen.
The film′s producer, Tsuyoshi Kobayashi, said, “I hope to breathe new wind with the power of the globally popular TVXQ and the Ring series.”
Sadako 3D 2 will premiere in Japan on August 30, and will go on to premiere in six other countries including Korea, Hong Kong and Russia.
TVXQ′s Scream will be released on September 4.
