On May 31st, renowned girl group TWICE released more teasers ahead of their first 2021 Korean comeback. They simultaneously dropped the track list and album trailer for the upcoming 10th mini album, ‘Taste of Love’ leaving fans thirsting for more. Check out the teasers down below!
TWICE ‘TASTE OF LOVE’ TRACK LIST:
Reading through the track list, the upcoming EP is set to contain 7 tracks, including the title track, ‘Alcohol-Free’. The song is written and produced mainly JYP Entertainment‘s founder J.Y Park. Producing some of the group later hits like ‘What Is Love?’ and their most recent title track ‘I Can’t Stop Me, there is a usual high expectation to the quality of this comeback. All the B-Sides on the album contain sole lyric writing credits to the group’s members.
- Jihyo wrote the lyrics for ‘First Time’
- Dahyun wrote for ‘Scandal’ and ‘SOS’
- Sana wrote for ‘Conversation’
- Nayeon wrote for ‘Baby Blue Love’
The final track on the album, a CD-only exclusive is an English version of the group’s 2021 single, ‘Cry For Me’. Interestingly, the track list also contains composing credits from global girl group Little Mix‘s Jade Thirlwall on ‘First Time’. She stated that the song was originally written years ago but is excited for it to emerge into the world.
A further thing to note, the release dates for the single and MV, are two days before the release of the full mini album and its physical copy. The former will also be released at the usual 6PM KST, whilst the other follows the American trend of being released at 0AM EST.
ALBUM TRAILER:
Moving onto the album trailer, the 54 second clip gives us a summery glimpse to the concept this time round. A tropical sounding guitar and synth lead in the instrumental as we see the girls enjoy their time separately under the summer heat. We see them relaxing on bed, dancing to a groove and making drinks (supposedly non-alcoholic to match the title). The video makes reference to their previously popular lead track asking ‘What is Love?’. Answering that it could be like a drink made from honey, the nonet party together in a colourful hall, concluding the preview. It seems the girl group are ready to bring us into their sweltry paradise.
Teaser photos, two MV teasers and an album preview are up for release in the coming days leading up to the group’s return.
TWICE‘s newest title track and MV, ‘Alcohol-Free’ is scheduled to drop on June 9th, 6PM KST. The mini album, is scheduled to be released on June 11th, 1PM KST (0AM EST)!
