On June 14th, boy group UP10TION released the MV to their latest title track, ‘SPIN OFF’. Following its drop, they also released their 2nd full album, ‘Connection’.
This full album comeback marks their return with the full album since 2018’s ‘Invitation’. The first day sales of this album become the TOP Media group 2nd highest since their 2015 debut, beating their previous comeback; 9th EP, ‘Light Up’ with double title tracks ‘Light’ and ‘destiny’, selling over 8,000 copies on its day of release. This comeback will also once again contain 7 of the 10 members; with Wooseok and Jinhyuk continuing to release solo work, and Jinhoo, whom has been completing his military service since November last year.

UP10TION ‘SPIN OFF’ MV:
Lyrically, the song talks about overcoming any obstacles that face your way; to follow your instincts and lead yourself, and others to newer ground and success. The song itself is dance-pop with an explosive synth chorus combined with their seasoned harmonised vocals. Halftime rap verses lead the 2nd verse in classic K-Pop form, but the charisma they bring returns to conclude the otherwise energetic song to give the track a well-rounded end.
Watching the MV, the boys look smart and stylish in stylised white suits. With the added flare of patterns, and a set of black chic and sexier attire, they definitely let their presence known to watchers, bringing you further into their charms. The video shows the story of the guys all running, chasing to search for something. Revealed by its conclusion, we see sparkling stone floating mid-air, before they form together to make one huge monolith. The futuristic vibe of the music video overall; from the reflective sliver area the members dance in, to the lounge they meet, creates a modern sophisticated feel to the whole concept.
