On November 28th, Urban Zakapa released their MV for ‘As I Wished‘. Check it out below!

‘As I Wished’ MV:

This MV is a continuation of the first MV that the artist released, which was ‘You’re the Reason‘. Even though Kim Jae Young did not appear in the previous MV, he is the main character in this one. He returns to office the day after Cha Eun Woo and Park Kyu Young got locked in overnight. Jae Young notices Kyu Young talking animatedly at her desk with her coworker. He greets them proceeding with his work. She seems to be happily texting Eun Woo who is sitting right across from her. Jae Young feels a bit awkward at their encounter and finds it hard to concentrate on his work. His feelings for her seem to be intense.

It turns out that Jae Young was the one who walked into Eun Woo and Kyu Young at the stairwell on the previous day. To make his bad day even worse, he drops his phone, making the screen crack. Jae Young gets more and more distressed as the day progresses. He ends up confessing his feelings for her with a gift, but she rejects him and leaves him at the same stairwell where she cuddled up to Eun Woo. The MV ends unhappily for him as he cries silently.

The emotion that Jae Young feels is effectively conveyed through the audience through the emotional vocals. They are raw and full of passion. The song is sad and mellow, which matches the solemn mood of the whole MV.

Urban Zakapa released their fifth album ‘05‘ on November 27th. The album has two title tracks: ‘As I Wished‘ and ‘You’re the Reason‘. The MV for ‘You’re the Reason‘ was released on this same day. It has been four years since they last released an album. Fans have been highly anticipating their return to the music scene.
