VERIVERY ‘G.B.T.B’ MV:
Abbreviated for ‘Go Beyond The Barrier’, the track’s lyrics depict how the world can sometimes be suffocating, and that we should overcome all barriers it throws at us. Instrumentally, the song is intense with trap, and strong drum and synths. The group’s smooth vocals and quick snappy raps contrast nicely with each other over top the beat.
Watching the MV, it gives a memorable impression from its opening. As the members shoot passionate close-up shots, we see a recurring theme of a compass that leads the group to various places. This includes a scene where the group look up in a dark space, finding people isolated in their own boxes with no way of communication. A final location shows the group performing in an open area, instead filled with the static shadows of people. Speaking of the performance, the choreography has high impact. Charismatic sharp moves, along with their hardened expressions create for a spectacle to watch. Outfit wise, there are primarily two sets in which they dance in. One is a khaki military-esque, whilst other takes on a red and black combo of street style outfits. Both contribute to the group’s overall charming looks.
‘Face Us’ marks the 3rd installment of their ‘Face’ album series which began at the start of the year with their 3rd mini album, ‘Face Me’. Through this album, the group continue to showcase their musical capabilities and create their own new world for listeners.
VERIVERY‘s 5th mini album, ‘Face Us’ featuring the title track, ‘G.B.T.B’ is available now.
