On October 6th, VERIVERY released the track list to their 5th mini album, ‘Face Us’. Following that, on the 7th they released the highlight medley giving fans a listening taste of their comeback.
VERIVERY ‘FACE US’ ALBUM TRACK LIST:
Examining the track listing, the mini album will contain six tracks. Below the song credits, we see the boys in hip clothing looking lost wandering up to the sky. Above there is a space satellite with the stars shining the top third of the poster. The track list is as follows:
- ‘G.B.T.B’ (Go Beyond The Barrier, title track)
- ‘My Face’
- ‘Hold Me Tight’
- ‘Get Outta My Way’
- ‘Gravity’ (literal translation)
- ‘Thank You, Next?’ (only available on the CD version of the album)
From the information a few of the members (Dongheon, Gyehyeon, Yeonho) have the sole credits for the lyrics of ‘Gravity’. Also, the last track ‘Thank You, Next?’ is a name that features at the end of many of the group’s albums. It typically contains an instrumental teaser for another track in the group’s future songs. Hence it gives a further tease for fans with their upcoming releases beyond this comeback. An example is with the ‘Thank You, Next?’ from the group’s ‘Face Me’ album being the instrumental for the group’s B-side, ‘Skydive’ in their most recent mini, ‘Face You’.
‘FACE US’ HIGHLIGHT MEDLEY:
Moving on to the highlight medley, the group plan to showcase their various talents through this album. The title track has a very intense feel with a deep bass synth and roaring growl motif found in the group’s previous teasers. Following this, there is a mixture of the minimally sexy ‘My Face’, lighter melodic track ‘Hold Me Tight’, the harder hitting ‘Get Outta My Way’, and finally vocally strong track ‘Gravity’ demonstrating their ability to sing beautiful harmonies.
‘Face Us’ concludes the Jellyfish Entertainment groups’ ‘Face’ album trilogy that started at the beginning of the year with their aforementioned ‘Face Me’ album.
VERIVERY‘s 5th mini album, ‘Face Us’ featuring the title track ‘G.B.T.B’ will be released on October 13th, 6PM KST!
