On August 23rd, boy group VERIVERY released the music video to their new title track, TRIGGER’. It serves as part of the act’s 6th mini album, ‘Series ‘O’ Round 2: Hole’. The EP features a total of 5 tracks including the final track, the usual CD exclusive track, ‘Thank You, NEXT?’. Named identically across their albums, the final track always gives listeners a sneak peek of the music to come in the future.
‘TRIGGER’ is a glitch hop track that continues the storyline of the Jellyfish Entertainment group that began with their previous EP, ‘Series ‘O’ Round 1: Hall’. The start and stop nature of this genre propels energy right from the start. Not to mention the vocals; even though the EDM beat begs all attention, the vocals partially past the bridge to the song’s finale showcase the abilities of the singers so well as they pierce through the demanding instrumental with their pitch.

VERIVERY ‘TRIGGER’ MV:
Following the events that occurred in their previous title track MV, ‘Get Away’, the boys find themselves invited to a seemingly unassuming party in an amphitheatre. However all is not as it seems as we see figures covered in masks to hide their identity begin their goal to drag the members towards darkness. The parallels show the identities of the mysterious people being alternate selves of the members. Wanting to escape the situation, the video ends as the septet attempt to run frantically out of the area, with the amphitheatre falling to its collapse.
The dancing portions displayed throughout show great synergy amongst the boy group as they give charismatic looks. It is a high energy choreography well suited for the loud and pulsating beat pumping through the track.
Holding their comeback showcase on the album’s release day, all members were present. However, due to member Gyeheon sustaining a foot injury prior to their return, the act will be promoting as 6 members for the time being.
VERIVERY‘s 6th mini album, ‘Series ‘O’ Round 2: Hole’, featuring the title track, ‘TRIGGER’ is available now!
