November 17th, 2013 marked the finale showcase show of VIXX‘s “The Milky Way” tour at the Olympic Gymnastics Stadium in Seoul, South Korea.
VIXX started of the show by wowing the audience with 3 songs ‘다칠 준비가 돼 있어 (On and On)‘, followed by ‘어둠 속을 밝혀줘 (Light Me Up)‘, and ‘Hyde‘.
Afterwards, the members of VIXX took the time to introduce themselves to the fans and shared a video reel of all the cities they visited for their Global Showcase. VIXX wore fedoras as they performed their latest song ‘대답은 너니까 (Only U)‘.
VIXX’s solo performances were up next. Ken was up first and he sang his OST solo song ‘사랑이라는 이름으로 (In the Name of Love)‘ from the Korean drama ‘The Heirs‘.
Next up, Hongbin and Hyuk picked a lucky girl from the audience to participate in their performance. They each tried to impress the girl with special effects, music, their charm and their dance moves. In the end, Hongbin and Hyuk each got down on one knee proposing with a rose and the girl had to choose between them.
Ravi was the third solo performer, and he showed off a powerful hip-hop performance of his self-composed song, ‘껄렁껄렁 (Ggeol-leong Ggeol-leong)‘. The title of his song is a Korean slang term that is used to describe someone who has cheap unimpressive swag.
Fourth was Leo and he serenaded fans with a short piano solo as he sang a cover of Kim Bum Soo’s remake of Lee Sora’s ‘제발 (Please)‘. Last up was VIXX’s leader N, making his entrance by jumping up from under the stage. He did an amazing dance performance to Justin Timberlake’s ‘Love Stoned‘.
After the individual member performances, VIXX showed a preview to their new single and music video ‘저주인형 (VOODOO DOLL) before starting their first live performance for the song itself. They were held up with wires, as they acted like voodoo dolls, before coming down onto the stage.
VIXX also showed off some of their personal talents and girl group dancing skills. Hyuk did some aegyo as he danced to the Gwiyomi Player. The other members tried to talk Leo into doing a sexy dance for the fans, but he was too shy to do it. So, instead they decided to dance to Girls’ Generation’s ‘I Got A Boy‘, as well as a little bit of Wonder Girls’ ‘So Hot‘. N also danced a little to Sunmi’s ‘24 Hours‘.
As the showcase neared the end, VIXX performed ‘Love Letter‘, before saying their good-byes and ending the show with ‘Super Hero’ and ‘Rock Ur Body‘.
The fans only had to shout “Encore!” for less than a minute before VIXX came back out to perform a jazz version of ‘Hyde’ and ‘대.다.나.다.너 (G.R.8.U.)‘.
