Why Tony Was Chosen for H.O.T Over Shinhwa’s Andy?

It is not a secret that Shinhwa‘s Andy almost became a member of H.O.T. instead of Tony. However, Moon Hee Jun revealed a twist in the story that has not been mentioned ever before.

Both Moon Hee Jun and Tony appeared as guests on  QTV’s “20th Century Boys” and Tony began talking about how he became a H.O.T member. He shared, “Andy and I went to audition after seeing a newspaper ad saying, ‘We’re looking for a star. The company liked Andy more, but because he was still young, it was decided he go to the next group, so I became a member.”

And that is when Moon Hee Jun revealed a story that has not been shared before. He said, “There’s actually something that we haven’t mentioned yet. Truthfully, the company came to us and told us to choose between Tony and Andy. All the members chose Tony,” and hilariously added, “Don’t tell Andy.”
