Woolim Entertainment will be returning to their original title as they have been appointed to be in charge of the music content side of SM C&C.
On March 21, SM C&C (SM Culture & Contents Co., Ltd.) said they have decided to separate their video content from their music content. Woollim Entertainment (Woollim Entertainment Co., Ltd) will be re-established to handle one side of the content all the while SM C&C will still hold all stocks to the company. The formation is set for June 8.
In August of 2013, Woolim Entertainment agency was acquired by SM Entertainment under SM C&C (a subsidiary of SM Entertainment). In the process, Woollim Entertainment became Woolim label with artists, INFINITE and Nell still in the company. SM Entertainment announced that it would be in charge of the global distribution of the music and other businesses in regards to the artists’ under the Woollim label while SM C&C will be in charge of the label’s functions.
With this new declaration, Woollim Entertainment will return after two and half years and also houses rookie group Lovelyz, JOO, among others including composers and actors. How do you feel about the news? Tell us your opinion.
