X-5, the boy group that debuted in 2011 have just ended their contracts with Open World Entertainment.
“All the members of X-5 were released from their contracts 2~3 months ago without any conditions,” a sources revealed on December 5th.
Since their debut with ‘Xenos’ last year and the attention they have been receiving with their tall heights and stage manners, they have been promoting by going back and forth between Korea, Japan and China. But with the Open World Entertainment CEO‘s crimes of sexual assault of female trainees coming to light, the guys had to quit their activities.
And also, while the boy group was on a hiatus, leader Ghun enlisted into the army and according to the source, the leader was quietly enlisted on December the 4th to begin his 2 year service.
“Last week, before Gun left, he said his farewells to those around him. With his heart feeling perplexed with the events that have taken place, he wanted to get the issue of military service over with,” the source stated.
“It’s a little too early to comment about that,” the source commented about the future of X-5 and the chance of a break-up.
The source also added, “The members and their parents are thinking towards the direction of having them continue to all promote together… Their former agency has also allowed them to continue using their group name.”
