2015 was a busy year for Kim Junsu of JYJ, also known by his stage name XIA, and 2016 is proving to be just as busy as the artist has announced that he will be coming back in May with his next full length album followed by a tour of Asia.
Having released ‘Flower’ last spring, Junsu kicked off his third Asian tour in Osaka right after the album’s release. After the tour, the artist went on to perform as L in ‘Deathnote: The Musical’, which garnered a lot of attention because of the Japanese manga it was based on. Following the musical, he turned around and released his second mini album ‘Yesterday’ which featured ‘꼭 어제 (Yesterday)’ and ‘OeO’, two tracks that were completely different from one another in style.
XIA is not done yet as he is in Japan right now with his second Japanese tour, which followed his fourth Asian concert series for ‘Yesterday’. To surprise fans for the upcoming album, CeJ-S Entertainment reported that, “On March 31, a surprise video was disclosed at the finale of his concert 2016 XIA THE BEST BALLAD SPRING TOUR CONCERT vol.2 in JAPAN that was held at International Forum Hall A in Tokyo, Japan.”
In the video, Junsu announces the new album and mentions the locations for his next tour. His agency follows it up with “Junsu will be making a comeback this May with his fourth full-length (studio) album. He will focus on his album production as soon as his current Japan tour is finished, and will set off on another Asia tour, starting with Seoul, in June.”
On top of working so much, Junsu also has his beautiful girlfriend, Hani of EXID, by his side. She is also gearing up for a comeback some time this year. Are you excited to see XIA come back? Tell us your feelings.
