XIA Junsu, a member of JYJ, attended his World Tour’s press conference today at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton in New York City-Times Square, on the 6th floor, in the Hudson Ballroom.
“I’ve performed here in NY with JYJ for a showcase, but this is the first time standing solo. I want to make a performance that fulfills the requests of my New York fans. I plan to perform my new song, Uncommited as well as a song from my previous album, Tarantallegra, in English,” he said when asked about his thoughts on the beginning of his tour.
He wanted to start in New York because he wanted to begin his world tour in the center of, you know, the world!
When asked about his thoughts about the success of other K-Pop artists in the U.S. and how he will approach his career here, he said that, “It is important for us artists to keep our K-Pop roots. It is easy to lose our colors while working with U.S. producers. I plan to keep my ‘XIA’ style while working on my music.”
He will started his in New York and will continue on to L.A and Mexico for the beginning of his tour.
Are you ready for Junsu?
