Ye Eun of the Wonder Girls revealed an original song of hers, “You’re In Me” during a recent filming on MBC Music‘s, “Picnic Live Sound, Scenery.”
Ye Eun and indie band Monni starred and performed a collaborative stage at the Jang Heung train station. They practiced together for almost a month before this performance and surprised everyone with their chemistry.
Ye Eun composed the song on her own. “You’re In Me” is a modern rock song and it tells the story of a couple who just began falling in love. This is the first duet Ye Eun’s ever written.
Originally, “You’re In Me” was more of a pop ballad with a piano melody. When Ye Eun played the song during a practice session with Monni though, Monni added some final touches to the song, tweaking and perfecting it with a modern rock style.
Monni’s vocalist, Kim Shin Ee expressed how surprised he was when he first listened to Ye Eun’s song, saying, “When I first heard the demo version of the song, I couldn’t believe that Ye Eun actually wrote this song herself. I thought she’d be more of a performer than an artist, since she has that idol background, but she has great sensibility as a writer.”
