Yezi finally released the badass music video for ‘Cider’. ‘Cider’ is a track that is part of Yezi’s first solo album, ‘Foresight Dream’. She also has pre-released ‘Crazy Dog’ featuring San-E in ‘Unpretty Rapstar 2’ prior to the release of the album
Since ‘Crazy Dog’ was such an amazing rap, fans were very excited and hyped for ‘Cider’. And no doubt that ‘Cider’ have not been a disappointment.
She had the help of Brand New Music’s Rhymer as the producer to make this album full of meaning and charisma. This album, ‘Foresight Dream’ was a way for Yezi to express her feelings of who she is and who she wants her fans to know her as. In particular, ‘Cider’ is a rap song about people not understanding her and showing fake emotions and expressions in front of her. She believes that she is the one in control of her life and is one who will bring success to herself
In the music video, she was able to portray her lyrics and emotion by not longer following what the directors and producers tell her to do in her music video. She does so by ripping the music video script, crossing things out and walking off the set, destroying the set in the process. She also threw paint jars on the wall which some believe had The Unpretty Rapstar logo on it. This was her way of showing her badass and fierce side and it sure looked very cool!
The rap itself has a very catchy beat where her rap fits perfectly with the rhythm. ‘Cider’ clearly shows how well the lyrics fit Yezi and how it gets the listeners to focus on the lyrics more than the beats of this track. Furthermore, Yezi was able to skilfully make the lyrics flow very smoothly, making it seem effortless.
Overall, Yezi was able to deliver such a great album and hopefully will continue to deliver such performance. So check out the ‘Cider’ music video below!
