YG Entertainment has thought of a very good way to promote WINNER’s new album: by pre-releasing covers of the new songs performed by their label mates.
The first to be released was their song ‘BABY BABY’, and the artist choice couldn’t have been better: the song is performed by Lee Hi, the YG artist that people have most been asking for a comeback.
‘BABY BABY’ is a very sad song, and in Lee Hi’s voice it even sounds like one of her own songs. The video is very short, so we can only listen to a snippit, but during that time we can watch her sing in the studio. Check it out:
What did you think of ‘BABY BABY’? Do you think that Lee Hi was a good choice for this cover? Who do you hope to see next? I’m expecting AKMU, Katie Kim and maybe some YG trainees.
WINNER’s new mini album will be released on February 1st, and we’ll have a lot of covers and teasers until then, so stay tuned to Officially Kmusic in order to keep updated!
