It looks like another boy group will be debuting following the footsteps of BIGBANG, WINNER, and Ikon!
YG Entertainment is planning to debut a new boy group sometime in 2017 and it looks like this group will be the youngest yet. A representative from YG has stated that, “Compared to the fact that the average age of BIGBANG, WINNER, and Ikon’s debut in YG who were in their early 20’s, the new boy group is unconventional with an average age of 15 to 17 years old. Each of them have been training around 5 years and have passed Yang Hyun Suk’s strict standards, they may as well be veterans.” YG aims to debut the group this July.
It was also recently confirmed that within this debuting group, current trainee and former ‘K-pop Star 2‘ runner up, Bang Ye Dam will be part of this new group. Ye Dam had been a big hit in the singing contest in 2013 and received many love calls from various agencies. However, he chose YG after getting second runner up, and has been a trainee ever since.
Bang Ye Dam has been previously shown on other YG artist’s social media, and even made a cameo in episode 8 of WINNER TV.
