TS Entertainment girl group SONAMOO are back with the second installment in their ‘Happy Box Project‘!
SONAMOO released the music video for their latest title song ‘I (Knew It)‘ on November 6. Check it out below!
‘I (Knew It)‘ kicks off with the quick strumming of an acoustic guitar underneath the digitally altered vocal line that forms the hook of the song. These guitar riffs alongside the flamboyant brass line and clapping show SONAMOO following the emerging Latin-inspired trend in KPop, in a similar vein to SF9‘s latest comeback with ‘O Sole Mio‘. SONAMOO‘s interpretation of the trend pairs these Latin elements with electronic details that are more stereotypical of KPop music, resulting in one of the catchiest dance tracks going around.
SONAMOO‘s ‘I (Knew It)‘ MV is a departure from the group’s previously cutesy concepts. Each of the seven members wears a variety of elegant outfits, with silk featuring heavily in the costume design. Combined with the styling of the set, a prominent Gothic vibe underlies the entire video. SONAMOO‘s choreography borrows heavily from the expressive arm movements of traditional flamenco dances. This unique blend of influences and themes means that the music video for ‘I (Knew It)‘ stands out from the crowd!
SONAMOO‘s comeback with ‘I (Knew It)‘ forms the second installment in their three part ‘Happy Box Project‘.
Euijin will not be able to participate in promotions for ‘I (Knew It)‘ due to currently being on new survival show ‘The Unit‘.
