LA based YouTuber & performer NOMTOM (Tom Kim) had been inactive for almost a year when he finally broke his hiatus last week with his acoustic cover of BTS’s ’봄날 (Spring Day),’ which broke past 5k views in its first few hours. His most popular video “그 XX” a G-Dragon cover, superseded over 130k views and aided him in gaining the 22,234 subscribers he has today.
NOMTOM has toured the states in the past performing on the notable stages of KCON and 626 Night Market. He has shared the stage and worked alongside other artists such as metoo, of Cycadelic Records, fellow Youtuber Jason Chen, and former YG song writer Lydia Paek at the 2015 Lunar Palooza x Asian American Expo.
He has been working diligently, putting out two covers since his hiatus ended. His second cover is of ;Complex; by ZION.T ft. G-Dragon. This soothing cover features him singing along to his own instrumental piano accompaniment. Viewers that watch to the end will get a treat as he details his own electric guitar solo to top off the cover. On top of covers, he also has multiple original tracks on his YouTube as well as his SoundCloud account under the name ‘notnomtom.’ Fans appreciate his sincere vocals and charismatic personality. As he continues his long awaited emergence from his hiatus, he promises viewers more covers and vlogs to come. We wish him the best on his return to the music scene and his budding career.
