SBS‘s “Inkigayo” is one of the most famous Korean music shows, and like all the other ones, it changes it’s MC’s regularly. However, during the whole time of the show, the most remarkable one must surely have been ZE:A‘s Kwanghee.
The ZE:A member joined the show two years ago, on December 16, 2012. Since then, he has worked with many K-Pop artists, such as IU, Lee Hyun Woo, Girl′s Day′s Minah, Lee Yubi, EXO′s Suho and Baekhyun, Kim Yoo Jung, and Hong Jong Hyun.
His popularity soon raised as once of the best MC’s that the show has ever had. His easygoing personality made it easier for rookie groups to have their debut stages, and his friendship with many artists made the interviews even funnier.
However, on April 3rd, his company, Star Empire, announced on Twitter that, “After two years and four months of hosting, Kwang Hee will be leaving SBS ‘Inkigayo’ following this week′s broadcast. We want to sincerely thank all the people who have supported and loved Kwang Hee, who has spent a long time with ‘Inkigayo’ as the host.”
The reason for his leave has not be announced, but like with every other MC, it is probably related to his busy schedule. We’ll sure miss Kwanghee a lot, but also hope that the person who replaces him can be as good as him.
In order to remember this two remarkable years, check out this fanmade video of Kwanghee’s best moments on “Inkigayo”:
