After a rough 2015, ZEST is brushing off the past with a new image including two new members.
Signed under Zenith Media, ZEST was a six member group that debuted in the summer of 2014 with members Shun, Yeho, Shin, Choi Go, Chi Woo and Duk Sin. They released two digital singles, ‘어젯밥 이야기 (Last Night Story)’ and ‘My All’ and then went on hiatus after having to halt their Korean comeback and Japanese debut in the spring of 2015 due to allegations of inappropriate behaviour that was later proved to be false.
It was reported that the two youngest, Choi Go and Duk Sin, had pulled from the group at this time due to personal issues and Chi Woo permanent left leaving the three remaining members to continue on as ZEST-Z. The subunit released one digital single ‘기회를 줘 (Give Me A Chance)’ in September.
Zenith has come forward to announce two new trainees have been added to the group, “after a long pause, ZEST gets a new start as five. Seung Hoon and Ko Gun were recruited after a lot of hardwork and sweat.” ZEST will be preparing a comeback with Seunghoon, who will take place as a rapper, and Kogun, who has signed on as a vocalist, along with Shin, Yeho, and Shun. When the comeback will be has not been announced.

I am personally glad to see this group overcome much controversy and moving past their rocky start. I look forward to see what the new members will offer and wish the previous members much luck in their future endeavours, whether it is coming back to ZEST or moving on.
