Block B’s Zico recently made a successful solo comeback with his second mini-album ‘Television’. He also released two music videos for the two title tracks, ‘Artist’ and ‘Anti’.
It has been two years since his last solo release, and on this album Zico collaborates with a number of other artists.
The lyrics to the first title track ‘Artist’ were written by Zico himself. The song is dedicated to those who are sick and tired of their daily lives. In the song, Zico is telling listeners that they shouldn’t hesitate to express themselves and paint their own lives, as we are all artists in our own way.
Zico has said that he wrote the song when he was in a good mood because he wanted people to get excited while listening to the track. The accompanying music video is full of colour and movement and exemplifies the message that is underlying in the song.

A few days after the music video for ‘Artist’ was released, Seven Seasons released the dance practice video for the track.
The choreography is as fresh as the track itself, Zico proves that his dance moves are as full of swagger as his music. He certainly stands out in the midst of his dancers who are all enjoying themselves undertaking the fun choreography. The dance practice video is almost as fun to watch as the full music video.

The other title track from ‘Television’ is ‘ANTI’ which features G.Soul. The song was written from the perspective of an anti-fan with Zico creating a fictional character to complete the lyrics. He admitted that it was easy to ‘roast’ himself while completing the track.
The video for the song is quite moody and dark, which given the topic, seems fitting. It creates a feeling of trepidation, and almost fear like anxiety as the skies are full of lightening and the imagery is confusing and confronting. This only serves to reinforce the theme of the song.
