B.A.P‘s leader Bang Yongguk has been keeping himself busy as the rapper extraordinaire dropped a surprise music video and song via his instagram titled “AM 4:44″. The song was also shared by his fellow B.A.P band mates.
The music video is a simple black and white concept in fact you can barely make out Yongguk. But the lyrics on the other hand, clearly convey strong emotions:
The heavy weight carried on two shoulders.
Nobody would know how scary the mask I wear is.
I don’t even know what I traded my passion for in place of everyone’s cheers.
For what am I insisting on trying so hard for to keep on running.
Feeling inferior and guilty are what’s left reality is rising and blocking my throat.
This song and music video were obviously personal to Yongguk not only did he write and produce the song but he also co-directed the video and made the artwork. Talk about a labor of love from his heart.
While not as big an issue in Korea itself, more international fans are aware of the on-going court battle between B.A.P and their management company TS Entertainment. If this song is an indication as to the feeling the group’s leader has or ever had, then no wonder he and his band-mates left. One thing that is for certain, Baby’s and many K-Pop fans alike support the members in whatever they do in the future. #wesupportBAP
