Last month, the boy group BLITZERS marked their way into European´s fans heart during a tour titled “Looking For BLEE”. Despite their busy tour schedule, the group took a moment to send our KMUSIC reader a shout-out video in which they hinted an interview is coming next. And now the wait is over as we present you the exclusive interview with the talented boys of BLITZERS!
You have just finished your European tour „Looking For BLEE“. Tell us, how are you feeling after meeting European BLEEs?
Lutan: “It was nice meeting European BLEEs and performing at various stages. I am proud that all the members were able to finish (the tour) safely and healthily. Thought this tour, I wanted to show you better performances and meet you again.“
Wooju: “I went to Europe for the first time, and it was better than I imagined. And I think I have a lot of experiences now as well as good memories.”
Was there something you were particularly looking forward to while visiting different countries?
Juhan: “It was my first time meeting European BLEE, so I was very excited about it. There were so many places I visited for the first time among the tour cities. I wondered what kind of scenery we will see and what kind of food would be delicious!”
Did you encounter something which pleasantly surprised you or what you loved during this tour?
Chris: “I was surprised that many BLEE came to our concert and the crowd made me feel good!”
If you could pick one word to describe your „Looking For BLEE“ tour, which word would you chose? Jinhwa: “Missing (you).”
Go_U: “Perfect.”
This tour was made with the concept of „fan-con“. How did you arrange and enjoyed this type of event?
Sya: “We prepared games that can be played with fans. Games that can be played together even if the language is different, or if they like K-POP they can participate too. And for BLEE, who has never seen our performances in person, we have mixed everything from our debut album to our latest album into our set list.”
Lutan: “Beside the concert we have also prepared a fan event! Signing, high touch and taking selfies. It is an event where we can meet BLEE as close as possible!”
KMUSIC attended one of your concerts and we must say we were very impressed by your energetic and fierce performances. Such performances must be very hard to prepare for, especially physically. How do you prepare for such long singing and dancing segments?
Wooju: “Honestly, it is not hard to see BLEE from stage! I paid more attention to quality than psychical strength when I was preparing!”
Jinhwa: “I also pay attention to whether I can distribute my physical strength when I make a set-list. Compared to the long (concert), it is another secret for us to have fun on stage!”
Are you involved in creating your choreographies as well?
Go_U: “Jinhwa participated in making the choreography for the most recent album “SLIDE” and our choreography director usually consult with us and reflect our ideas to make them into a choreography!”
You danced with a few lucky fans on the stage during concerts. What were your reactions seeing your fans performing your songs?
Chris: “I was very excited and also impressed because it was really good!”
Talking about songs, you have released many tracks this year, including a new album „Win-Dow“. Can you tell us a bit more about this album?
Sya: ”WIN-DOW” is BLITZERS´ third EP album. It is a travel series which follows two previously released EPs. It is an album which contains expectations and resolutions for future travel by looking out of the window, following by “Check-in”, while preparing for the trip, and “Seat-belt” which we wear before leaving in earnest.”
Juhan: “The title track “Hit The Bass” contains BLITZERS´ will to steal BLEE´s heart and in the lyrics as well as the music video we turned into the main characters of the caper movie who steal BLEE´s heart.”
Your songs have a nice spectrum from hyped fast tracks to slower songs. Fans always find something to fit their mood. Which genre do you personally listen to most in your free time?
Jinhwa: „I often listen to country music“
Go_U: „Rather than a genre, I listen to KESHI´s songs a lot.“
Juhan: „I usually listen to R&B.
Sya: „I listen to hip hop the most!“
Chris: „I mostly listen to hip hop genre, but other than that, sometimes I listen to pop songs!“
Lutan: „I listen to a lot of different genres, but I think I listen to K-POP the most. Not only our songs, but there are many good songs by other artists, so I learn a lot while listening to them and it helps me in many ways.“
Wooju: „I think the genre that I listen to changes a lot depending on my mood.“
If you had one full day of free time, what would your dream day look like?
Jinhwa: „Working out, going to a café, meeting my friend, going home, watching TV with my family and then falling asleep.“
Go_U: „Staying in the room all day without going out.“
Juhan: „Resting in a vast field.“
Sya: „Sleeping and lying down without going anywhere.“
Chris: „Going to amusement park because I love roller coasters!“
Lutan: „Enjoying leisure time with members who could not do so in their busy lives.“
Wooju: „I do not know what to do, but do what I want to do and have a good day.“
What are your hobbies or things you enjoy doing?
Jinhwa: “I watch cooking YouTube channels very often these days.”
Go_U: “I play computer games.”
Juhan: “Listening to and appreciating music.”
Sya: “I think I usually relieve my stress by shopping.”
Chris: “Watch Netflix or workout if I have time!”
Lutan: “I like to play games or exercise.”
Wooju: “Singing, hanging out with the members and drawing.”
Which emoji do you use the most when messaging with your group members?
Juhan: 👍🏻
Chris: “I’m not sure but most of the time I use 😤 emoji.”
Wooju: “Heart breaking emoticon 💔.”
Do you have any message to your international fans?
Jinhwa: “Thank you so much for supporting us from afar. We will come back with various contents so that you can not feel our physical distance!”
Go_U: “We will come back with better choreographies and songs, so please look forward to it!”
Juhan: “BLEE! How are you doing? We will work hard, so see you soon!“
Sya: ”See you in your country!”
Chris: “We’ll come up with more songs to perform so wait for it!! Love you!”
Lutan: “Thank you so much for always supporting us and liking us. We will continue to show you great things, and if we have a chance, we would like to do a lot of overseas activities to meet BLEE from all over the world!”
